This is actually not new news. It has been the trend since at least the early 1980s. The problem is similar in Canada and, to a lesser extent, in Jamaica. But do you think the Jamaican newspapers would do the kind of investigative reporting that they should? Oh no.
The Ja. media outlets are all about propaganda and advertising, in my opinion. We never get any analysis that is worth crap. IMHO, all those so-called reporters should be fired, and real journalists hired, those who can actually spell, write a story and ask a good question. Ok, end of rant. Thanks for posting this.
